Been awhile...........................
Haven't blogged in quite some time. I decided that the time is right again. Look out world, here I come!

Sometimes I just wonder if people are born hostile or if they become that way out of arrogance. Why do other think that they have the right to impose their views without being open-minded enough to listen to the views of another? Have we become a society of mean, close-minded, self-absorbed humans? What happened to the compassion that we see in the movies, media and society of days gone by? Is the human 'rat race' so important that we have lost sight of one another? Will there truly be a day when everyone in the world will awaken to peace and prosperity? Stay tuned . . . . . . . . . . . .

Going to the Boat
Tomorrow I am going to the Blue Chip with my friends. I haven't had a chance to spend time with them as individuals much less as a group lately. It is always such a good time, full of laughter and controlled chaos when we all get together. I am the non-drinker of the group. I get to watch them get a little gofy and then I get to tell them what happened, or at least my version of what happened. We have had many a great time together and I look forward to many more for the next 100 years. To the ones that could not go tomorrow - - you will be missed big time! I know we will think about you more than once and we will certainly miss your sweet and mischevious smiles.
Let's Just Call it Unfashionably Rude
Okay - - we all know them - - the people that think it is 'cool' to be fashionably late. If I am going to take my time and energy to plan and get everything ready at a certain time, the least they can do is show up in a timely manner. I have now come to the point of telling certain people that something actually starts an hour earlier than it does so that they will show up one hour late instead of two. To make matters worse, they think their actions are so cute - - NOT!!! These are the same people that will come into your house and complain and talk about others the entire time. When they have finished that part of their agenda they move on to taking everything and anything they can get their hands on that is not bolted down - - did I mention that these people never bring anything to an event? They are also the type to mooch and self-invite themselves to everything. This type of people are the ones that always think everything they do in life is right and justified, no matter how much they may hurt or offend someone else. Did I mention that their kids are incredibly messed up and have no respect for anyone around them, especially their parents? So, what do I do? Do I just not invite them anymore - - do I keep inviting them and hope one day they will wake up with social graces? Is that even possible? I know you are waiting for me to identify who 'these people' are - - maybe I will one day - - for now I will just say that it is not any of those that I identify as my friends. These are people I feel obligated to have at certain events.

Belle's Coming of Age
Belle is my youngest. She will be 14 next week. To say she is a trip would be putting it mildly. I am just in awe of her sometimes. She can be as stubborn as the day is long and just as sweet as an angel. She is just as hard-headed as her father and as head-strong as her mama. In the last few months she has been avid, to the point of being a little broom rider, when it comes to getting her point across. It is funny to see her coming of age. I will see her whispering a question to her sister and I will ask what she wants to know . . . . . be careful what you ask for, you just might get it! One such question comes to mind.......she asked her sister what masturbation is for a guy. Well, Danielle told her she would tell her in private in a little while. They never got time to be in 'private' before dinner that night. So, me being me, decided to bring it up at the dinner table with Rob sitting right there with us. I told Belle that I heard she wanted to know about a guy masterbating and then proceeded to tell her the definition. The look of horror on her face, as well as the face of her father, was pricele$$. Danielle almost choked on the food in her mouth and then we both lost it. We laughed to the point of crying. OMG, embarrasing the kids can be so much fun!!! Hey, I'd rather they hear it from me in a most uncomfortable setting so that they hear the truth as well as learn how to get thru an embarrassing moment. Yeah, that's it!!!

Cell Phone Abuse
The more I think about it, the more I believe that we really need to come up with the name of some 'syndrome' to give a namne to these people that abuse their cell phones. I think we need support groups for those that are trying so hard to give up the phones and we might need some type of shock treatment or drug therapy detox to help those afflicted the worst. We must do everything we can to keep them calm and organized so that they can feel like their lives are still worth living. I know we can do this if we all work hard.
Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Okay, that is enough of that crap. I hope you weren't buying the paragraph above. We need to help them like a we need a colony of red ants and a hive full of bees at our next picnic.
What we need to do is tell them about themselves. I am always shocked to see someone driving a car with children in the back seat, no seat belts on, mom or dad is weaving in and out of traffic because they are on their cell phone and not concentrating on the tons of vehicles that surround their children. It is very shocking to really see how people value their things, like a stupid cell phone, more than their children. I know that people would argue that statement and that is okay with me. I'll debate that everytime with the same statement: If your children are the most important things in the world to you, and they should be, absolutely nothing in this world is more important than their safety. That safety includes their state of mind and fear of being hurt or worse. How is someone protecting their child when they are not actively participating in the actions that keep them safe? I am sure that we all remember somewhere back in our childhood where we were in a vehicle with someone and that persons driving scared us half to death. Didn't that make you wonder what your parents were thinking? Don't you think kids today wonder the same thing? When you are driving a vehicle with a child inside, it is your sole responsibility to make sure that child is emotionally and physically okay between point 'a' and point 'b'. The child should never have to worry if they are going to make it to point 'b'.
I really become nuts when I am at a four-way stop sign waiting for someone to go and they are all texting on their phones. Just when I give up on them going, I decide to take my chances and give it a rev only to be honked at or finger signaled by some moron that was hanging up traffic to begin with. How about the one that always ends up behind us, obviously in a hurry, with his cell phone in his hand and eating a cheeseburger with the other hand. I purposely slow down and make them a little bit later. If they insist on being on the phone while eating their dinner, I can at least slow them down a little bit. A bitch you say, no, no - - I am doing my civic duty and staying out of the jail that way, too. What I really want to do is get out of my car and snatch the annoying persons phone and smash it into itty bitty pieces.
My BSH friend has been in several accidents in the past few years and all of them were caused by people on their cell phones. She was not responsible for any of the accidents yet she lost out every time. Cars were totaled and she got blue book value from the insurance company - - much less than was still owed on one and the other car had just paid off right before the last accident. Back to a car payment so soon really hurt her financially. The funny thing is that she never once filed a personal injury suit against the drivers at fault. She just wanted to do what was right. It is always the good ones that end up with the most drama from someone elses mistakes.
Thanks for joining me today and letting me share my random thoughts with you. Coming Soon . . . . . . . . Belle and her Friends, Dumb Labeling, A day in the Life of ______________________??? Wonder whose name is going to be in the blank. hmmmmm
